Making Images Fit Numbers by Combining Two Words

I was eating a bowl of my favorite food the other day started wondering how I could fit it into my memory system. Pho (“fuh”) doesn’t have the consonant-vowel-consonant format that I need for my three-digit phonetic system.

The dish is often written as Phở Bắc on menus (northern pho) so I ended up adding the two word combination as the image for the number 896 which is pronounced “fuhb.”

In many cases, I’ve had to combine two words to make an image fit the phonetics of a number.

896 = Phở Bắc
